Coming out
I don’t understand why gay people need to announce to the whole world their sexual preferences. Is homosexuality a disease that must be disclosed so people will not catch it by avoiding contact? If AIDS, a disease that can be fatal, does not have to be disclosed (and that is the law), why this hoopla about homosexuality?
I think that sexual preferences are just that: sexual preferences. Who talks about their sexual preferences? Do people vent to anyone what their masturbatory preferences are or how they like to be penetrated? I don’t think so. Now, aren’t these examples of sexual preferences?
Whose business is it that a man or a woman is sexually attracted to a person of the same gender? I think that this coming out business is another way to justify discrimination and prejudice. It is also a needless painful announcement for those involved.
